 Reunion 98

Dallas, Fort Worth (July 3,1998) -

The 5th Padua reunion was a tremendous success. The Padua's got together at the Green Oaks Hotel, we all came down from all over to celebrate this special gathering. Our families came from California, New York, Toronto, Arizona and Texas.

We broke up the ice early Thursday and started with dinner. We met at an Italian Restaurant where we were served by the Singing Waiters. And of course we all ordered pasta, linguini, spaghetti & manicoti. The service was superb and the the food wasnt bad at all. I'll rate the food 6 and the service a 7 but the atmosphere is a 9.

Early Friday was the time to go golfing & shopping. Uncle Danny, Uncle Bing and Uncle Percy and Bobby went to play golf. Auntie Claire, Donna, Francis, Thelma and Emma went shopping at the Grapevine.

Late Friday evening was the Greeting Night. Its was a time to meet and introduce each others clan. The Padua Elders each stood up to introduce their family. What a big family of eleven!

To start with, Auntie Gening from Chicago came with Rhett, Francis and their kids; Ernie, Marita & Christina.

Auntie Coring hosted the event and with her kids Gloria, Luz, Cora and Jesse. Please check the family tree to see their spouses and kids. They did a superb job coordinating and setting-up the events. Thanks to Marty, Leah, Thelma, Luz & Cora and the rest in making all the arrangements.

Uncle Paquito and Auntie Titania were from Toronto Canada. Uncle Max and Auntie Claire came from San Diego California. Uncle Percy and Auntie Sanny came from Chicago. Uncle Bing and Tita Mely came from Reseda California. Uncle Marcial and Auntie Eny from Virginia Beach. Uncle Poe came from Toronto. Uncle Poncing and Auntie Lita from Toronto Canada. Auntie Ching also from Toronto. Auntie Ligaya and Uncle Danny from New York.

Saturday morning, we started the day with a golf game. It was a game of scramble 4-some vs 4-some. And the winner was the Ligaya Lions. The kids went to the JFK museum. And of course the women went shopping.

Saturday night was the big event, the theme was to dress cowboy & cowgirl. We ate B-BQ ribs & chicken - what a hoe-down!

It was a splendid evening and we get to see each family's talents. We also get to do square dancing and the electric slide. Eeehah !!!
