It was summer time a day for camping. We all went for a family trip up to Payson at Black Canyon Lake. What a great view, its like another world. Arizona is not just desert! Up north of Phoenix about 2 and half hour drive is Payson. A farming community, with an elevation of 4000 ft it is a lot cooler than Phoenix. They have a protected forest area along the Rim of the Grand Canyon. Of course the area is rich with Elk and a very popular place for hunters. It has a great lake that is stocked with rainbow trout. Camping areas are accessible on to the east side of the lake
